RedSable

Where quality meets creativity.

Hi,
My name is Julie Glick.

For the past 3 years artist Klaas Hart ran an art gallery in a retail space along the Danforth. Wanting to make the space more accessible to the community we recently joined forces to turn his existing gallery into a ‘one of a kind’ fine art and craft retail store.

RedSable officially opened its doors Valentine’s Day weekend. Our contributors include artists from across southern Ontario, the GTA, and predominately, RedSable’s and our own neighbourhood, Danforth East.

The store still has an entire wall dedicated to paintings but the rest of the space now displays great artisan Work in a variety of media. We feature ceramic work- both functional and aesthetic as well as artist working in glass, wood, fabric and leather. Our jewellery, like everything else in the store, is handmade.

The neighbourhood has embraced the new change. People tell us they hope our presence is indicative of a new business direction for the area. The store now is becoming a meeting place; an environment in which neighbours are introduced, beauty is celebrated, and creativity is inspired.

So here we are. RedSable on the Danforth: offering creativity, passion and optimism.

Sincerely,
Julie Glick
